2023 Update
It is with a heavy heart that we report that Birth & Beyond Women’s Care pregnancy center has shut down operations due to the unprecedented impact of COVID-19. Despite our best efforts to adapt and continue serving our community, the pandemic created insurmountable challenges that made it impossible for us to continue operations.
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude for the support and generosity you have shown us throughout the years. Your contributions have helped us make a significant impact in the lives of the women and families we served, and we could not have achieved what we did without you.
We hope that you’ve been touched by the efforts of our staff and volunteers that have run the Center over the years and with YOUR help, provided a wide range of loving counseling services, financial, spiritual & emotional support to courageous pregnant women not only throughout their entire pregnancy, but beyond as well. For over 37 years, through Juan Diego, you supported over 11,000 families with material needs ranging from diapers, clothing & baby furniture; you placed them in shelters & housing; you provided them counseling & education. We have been blessed with more than 1,200 babies born because of your generosity.
Unfortunately, due to the financial strain and operational disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and after months of prayerful discernment, the Board of Directors reached the heart-wrenching decision to permanently close the center and dissolve Juan Diego Society, Inc. All remaining assets and funds left after fulfilling our financial and legal obligations will be distributed to other local life-affirming non-profit organizations such as the Guadalupe Hope Society in San Jose (https://guadalupehopesociety.org/).
We understand that this news may come as a disappointment, and we would like to assure you that every effort was made to find alternative solutions. However, in the end, it became clear that the best course of action was to shut down the center in the face of such unprecedented circumstances.
Thank you again for your support and dedication to the prolife cause. It has been a privilege to serve alongside you and we will always cherish the memories and accomplishments we have shared.
May God abundantly bless you and may Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Unborn, guide your steps in the Service of Her Son. In His Service and for the Greater Glory of God, Vivat Jesus!
COVID Update
Our History:
St. Juan Diego Women’s Center was founded in 1986 in San Jose, California. The Center is consecrated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patroness of the Pro-Life movement and protector of unborn children and their mothers.
For over 32 years, our counselors have provided a nurturing, caring environment and aided thousands of families in crises. The women we help have "crisis pregnancies." They are told by society that they are unwanted, unloved and that their children in utero are "clumps of cells." Some face a diagnosis with genetic issues. Without education and counseling, love and support, they suffer emotionally and financially. They don't feel valued and they are taught their unborn children are disposable.
We provide essential core needs including compassion counseling, financial support, clothing for their children, education about their growing babies and continuous support. All of these are essential to thrive, and we provide these items to a worldwide group of young women, to show them the love of Christ. We supply everything we offer free of charge, regardless of age, marital status, race, creed, religion or economic status. We engage and connect "communities that have" with "communities that need."
